Imagine your child spending one or more weeks this summer making a huge variety of exciting drawing, painting and sculpture projects, listening to stories, and enjoying an active recess! That’s what our Mostly Art Summer Program is all about.
Our summer classes are small with a high ratio of teachers to students, so your child will get lots of personal attention. Class times are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday-Thursday, and from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Friday. A generous snack is provided. Children will bring their lunch Monday through Thursday, which they’ll eat while hearing favorite fairytales and fables. We will also have recess Monday –Thursday across the street at American Youth Dance Theater.

For Summer 2008, The Art Center is partnering with American Youth Dance Theater (located directly across 75th Street) to provide an exciting special new program called Art In Motion. Art In Motion will feature half a day of art (drawing, painting and sculpture) 5 days a week and half a day of dance (ballet, tap, jazz, and yoga) four days a week, with a nutritious lunch included Monday-Thursday at American Youth Dance Theater. This is the perfect program for active children ages 6-12 who want the best of both creative worlds!
